Are you still trying to make up for lost time traveling in 2020 and 2021?
I’ve had SO MANY of my fantastic travelers contact me in the past few weeks to plan new trips. I’m also seeing a lot of new-to-me travelers reaching out for help planning their trips. Thank y’all for talking about me and sending your friends/family my way! That is the BIGGEST compliment I can ever receive.
The travel world has definitely changed, and it can be hard to keep up on what destinations require what tests/forms/insurance, etc. DO NOT WORRY that is what I’m here for.
The most popular destinations I've seen recently are Disney World and Hawaii, which coincidentally when I asked earlier this year “where y'all were dreaming of traveling?” these were the TOP destinations in your answers. I’m so happy to see that we are working together to make those travel dreams a reality.
Hawaii and Disney are great for Family and Romantic Vacations. If you are starting to plan your Spring Breaks (FIND OUT WHY NOW IS THE TIME) or Winter Trips (We might be a little behind the ball, but I can totally help ease the stress!) I’ve got some quick updates for you!

Hawaii has some great news for those who are fully vaccinated! As of July 8th travelers who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to have a negative Covid-19 test before arrival. Travelers still need to fill out the Safe Travels forms. If you are not vaccinated you will be required to have a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of arrival from one of the Hawaii approved testing sites (this list is very specific so don’t get the wrong test!).
Hawaii has had a LOT of issues with Rental Cars lately. It has been estimated that during the pandemic they shipped about 40% of their cars off the island. What that means is that we need to get your rental car reserved AS SOON as we know you are thinking about taking a trip to Hawaii. It also means that we might need to be flexible with your rental car dates. If we can’t find one for your entire length of stay, we will get creative in planning your activities so that you won’t need a car the entire time. We will be sure to get you a hotel with a fantastic beach, and activities for you to enjoy while you are there, and then use the time we have your rental car to get you out exploring the island.
Walt Disney World Resort
Disney World has had SO MANY changes since my last visit in May. I’ve chatted with my colleagues and my travelers to get the latest updates. Many of them report that it feels almost all the way back to normal. We are still waiting for news about the return of FastPasses, and we DID hear that Disney Dining Plans will be coming back. We don’t have a date or details about the dining plans, but we were told “yes, they are coming back”. You know that as soon as I have more details, you will have more details too! So many dining locations have opened back up and the number that are still closed is shrinking quickly.
With capacity in the parks increasing, and FastPass still unavailable, having a great daily plan is key to making the most of your trip. You know I’ll arm you with the best advice available (such as these tips for getting a Rise of the Resistance boarding group ), however, it is still great to be a little flexible in your plans as you never know when a ride could break down, or a large crowd could form at the attraction you were going to experience. Being able to pivot and move to the next attraction is a great skill for all of those who visit Disney World to have.
